Webinars to contribute to ABARES and FWPA work plans

ABARES and Forest and Wood Products Australia (FWPA) have maintained a long working relationship, supporting the forest and wood products industry. This collaborative relationship has enabled a range of valued forest products industry research reports and industry data series which is freely available and used by the Australian industry, consultants, peak bodies, Government and other stakeholders. FWPA provides 1:2 funding to collaborative ABARES projects. As a government requirement of this funding arrangement, this work needs to fulfil several requirements; informing better policy decisions, good information source for the marketplace, and that the audience is government, industry, and the public.

And there must be benefit for FWPA levy payers and other industry stakeholders.

ABARES reports and analysis are of a high quality and are a trusted source of industry information, particularly within other areas of Government.

Additionally, ABARES is able to use its authority as a government agency to undertake sensitive research that other researchers can find hard to replicate.

The ABARES and FWPA 2018 -2022 work plan has now completed, and FWPA is working to develop a new two-year work plan.

FWPA has engaged Omega Consulting to run two workshops to help collect the views of FWPA stakeholders so that we can use this feedback to develop a new FWPA/ABARES work plan.

The two workshops are:

  • Jul 21, 2022 01:30 PM in Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney
  • Jul 28, 2022 01:30 PM in Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney
