The Safety Show Sydney puts safety into action

Manual handling, bullying, compliance and safe work at heights workshops plus acres of the latest workplace safety products and services await visitors to The Safety Show Sydney, when it runs from October 27 to 29 this year.
A feature of national Safe Work Week, The Safety Show and the concurrently-held Sydney Materials Handling show are NSW’s largest workplace safety event. Last year, there were more than 10,000 visits to the two shows and this year a new event, CleanScene: The National Cleaning & Hygiene Expo, will run alongside them.
The Safety Show Sydney and Sydney Materials Handling alone will present more than 300 exhibitors. Many of them will be new to the two well-established events. Four months ahead of the shows, there were already 39 exhibitors set to debut in 2009.
Heading the exhibitor list is principal sponsor, WorkCover NSW, which will present three free seminars daily: Workers Compensation – What you need to know, Manual Handling and Smart Move Tool Kit, and Preventing and Dealing with Workplace Bullying.
Visitors can also take advantage of a free safe work at heights workshop held by Workplace Access & Safety. The one-hour session will show visitors how to make their work sites safe and compliant with fall prevention regulations. The workshops proved popular at The Queensland Safety Show in July, booking out well ahead of the event.
Other live action at The Safety Show and Sydney Materials Handling includes the demonstration stage and safety theatre programs, where visitors will see products from a diverse range of exhibitors in operation.
The Safety Show Sydney and Sydney Materials Handling will run during Safe Work Australia Week from October 27 to 29 at the Sydney Showground. For more information, visit www.thesafetyshow.com, email [email protected] or phone Australian Exhibitions & Conferences on 03 9654 7773.
