With the current pandemic, sales look a little different this year, after a risk assessment was completed measures made to adapt to COVID-19 restrictions. Among other things, all cash handling has been removed to reduce any spread of infection.

There will also be a focus on no queues, and anyone with symptoms should stay at home.

The Swedish ‘elves’ offer home delivery for those who want to buy a Christmas tree but do not have the opportunity to get to a point of sale in a safe way.

Christmas tree sales are a cherished tradition and in this way it is hoped to spread a little extra joy during this difficult time.

A total of 14 forestry master students will go to Stockholm to sell the Christmas trees this year.

This year’s trees were grown and cut in Degeberga, Skåne. The spruces are delivered to Stockholm the day before the sale begins, offering customers completely freshly cut and Swedish-grown spruces.
