Resolute’s TMP-Bio plant uses a patented technology developed by FP Innovations for the commercial production of large quantities of biosourced chemicals and is a step towards opening new markets for the forest products sector within the biochemical products supply chain.

The biorefinery transforms wood-based chemicals, such as lignin and cellulosic sugars into innovative commercial products like adhesives, animal feed and composites. The goal is to develop new ways to efficiently manufacture wood-based biochemical products.

Named after Thomas Alva Edison, the Edison Awards recognize and honour innovative products, services and business leaders from around the world. Each year, over 150 companies from all over the world are honoured with an Edison Award, including Fortune 500 companies.

By using forest products in innovative ways and developing sustainable alternatives to petroleum-based products, Resolute is adding value to North America’s forest products sector and accelerating the global transition to a cleaner and circular economy.
