Quality timbers up for sale

Held quarterly at Harvey Mill, the Forest Products Commission’s (FPC) log auctions provide wood enthusiasts and craftspeople a unique opportunity to transform some of Western Australia’s best native timbers into works of art.

The next auction will be held at 10am on 8 March 2008, and going under the hammer will be over 500 tonnes of assorted native speciality logs, including large individual logs of jarrah (logs and burls), karri, marri, wandoo and nearly 200 tonnes of blackbutt. Sawn timber will include slabs and boards of marri burl, karri and jarrah.

Forest products available in the auction can be inspected at 64 Weir Road, Harvey, during normal business hours, Monday to Friday, or on the day of the auction between 8am and 9.30am. To arrange an inspection prior to auction, please contact Steve Davis on 0427 380 632.
