Colourful trees, forest landscapes, children playing, people working or animals living in the forest are all welcome.

So next time you are in the forest be it for work or leisure take your camera with you.

Along with the $1000 prize for the winning photo, Responsible Wood will select the top three entries to enter the international contest and compete for the 2022 PEFC Photographer of the Year Award.

Applications will be assessed by an expert panel including Simon Dorries, CEO of Responsible Wood who said the contest theme is ‘responsible forests, responsible certification’.

“This could embrace many topics, from forest landscapes to individual trees and plants, from harvesters to families hiking in the woods, from indigenous people to rural village life, from wooden buildings to photos of PEFC/Responsible Wood-labelled products,” Mr Dorries said.

The competition is now open and will close on June 5 head to www.pefc.photo for terms and conditions. All photos will remain with Responsible Wood for future use and promotion of forest management in Australia.

Photo entries (any number) can be uploaded to Instagram #rwphotocontest22, emailed to PEFC Photo Contest at [email protected] or post to Responsible Wood, PO Box 786, New Farm, Qld 4005.
