PEFC annual review of 2020

PEFC has released its annual review document that focusses on how 2020 saw the world change particularly for business as the in-person meetings, audits and trainings that had been key to its work challenged PEFC to adapt and change. Source: Timberbiz

But with new challenges came new opportunities. The “new normal” brought innovative ways of working and moving forward through a range of novel technological approaches.

In 2020, the PEFC alliance continued to grow, and welcomed three new members.

PEFC stated that it kept driving innovation and unlocking new opportunities with the approval of three revised standards, the development of a new Label Generator and the establishment of new working groups.

The organisation focused engagement in sectors such as construction, packaging and fashion, and established collaborations with new partners.

PEFC worked to increase communications effectiveness, connecting consumers to the forest through online campaigns, publications and videos, and equipping them to become ambassadors.

Our 2020 Annual Review gives an insight into the work of the PEFC alliance in 2020, highlighting some of the key achievements of PEFC and its partners.
