Based in New Zealand, Mr Swart will focus on product sales, customer service, dealer support, and supply chain needs.

Wood-Mizer has a long history in the Oceania region with active dealers located in Australia and New Zealand. Now with a local footprint, Mr Swart will further support the established dealers and customers throughout the region.

Mr Swart has been with Wood-Mizer since 2017. His experience includes more than 15 years working in sales for multinational companies with responsibilities for opening new markets.

“I am thrilled to be a resource to those in the forestry sector and offer Wood-Mizer’s range of products to individuals and businesses,” Mr Swart said.

Wood-Mizer’s President of Emerging Markets, Mr J Oelofse, said that until recently Mr Swart had been focusing his attention on the Oceania region and it was great to get him relocated into the market.

“With our new office and stocking location for wood processing equipment and blades, we are confident that we can add to sawmillers success in the region,” Mr Oelofse said.

With longstanding dealers already in Timaru, New Zealand and Victoria, Australia, Wood-Mizer’s continued investment with a full-service location reflects the company’s commitment to sell, support and serve the sawmilling industry and timber professionals throughout Oceania.
