New business manager to grow AE Gibson business

Troy Krogh has been appointed sawmill engineering company AE Gibson & Sons Pty Ltd’s new business manager. The company said Mr Krogh’s appointment was a key step in the company’s plans to expand its machinery and engineering activities in traditional market segments such as the timber and structural/construction sectors, as well as entering new market segments where its core engineering capabilities will open up market opportunities. Mr Krogh brings decades of business management experience to the company and has a proven record of leading machinery and automation technology companies like AE Gibson to the next level.

Previously, Mr Krogh was regional director of SCOTT Automation & Robotics, general manager of Bladestop, general manager of Machinery Automation & Robotics, and held senior positions at Rockwell Automation Australia, and Automation Systems.

Mr Krogh also worked at Gibson’s during the late 1980s as a technician, during the early years of his career.

Bevan Gibson, managing director of AE Gibson, stepped down as MD on 2 July this year but will continue to serve as a special advisor to the business and management team.

Mr Gibson has more than 35 years’ experience, a large proportion of that guiding and directing the Gibson business. He also assisted in expanding the company’s specialist hydraulics capability.
