This training, delivered by the team from Font PR, is designed to provide the tools necessary to enable participants to better understand how the media works and how to liaise and manage media communications, including journalistic techniques, developing media relationships, ethics, crisis communication, media releases and interviews.

The training will be held remotely throughout September and October. The training will consist of three two-hour sessions.

Once the recipients of the training have been confirmed, a poll will be issued to select the most suitable days and times for the training.

The IFA/AFG will provide funding to cover registration for eligible applicants.

These scholarships are offered via a grant from the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources – Leadership in Agricultural Industries Fund to develop leadership and communication skills in early career professionals (up to age 35yrs).

However, due to the terms of the grant, any Commonwealth salary employee is excluded from applying.

Applications close 9.00 am Tuesday 25 August 2020.
