The Carbon and Farming Conference will explore the impact carbon will have on farming businesses going forward, with in-depth analysis from experts in business development, agriculture, sustainability and forestry.

The conference is set to be held on 7 March 2023 at the Rendezvous Hotel, Scarborough.

Organised by the South West Timber Hub, Project Manager Wendy Perdon said initial interest for the conference had been strong.

“I believe that is a testament to the program and line-up of speakers, who are all experts in their fields,” Ms Perdon said.

“We are delighted to have the 2022 Australian Farmer of the Year, Michael Taylor, joining us for the conference and hosting a breakfast the day afterwards.

“Michael’s story is a particularly relevant one, with agroforestry playing a key role in the sustainability and success of his farm in New South Wales.”

Given the high level of interest in the Carbon and Farming Conference, Ms Perdon encouraged people to register early to secure a spot.

Both online and in-person attendance is available.
