HVP harvests Wandiligong plantations

HVP Plantations will start harvesting its Wandiligong Plantation in January. The harvest will focus around the western end of Jagoes Gully. The harvest is expected to take four weeks, running to mid-February. Source: Timberbiz

HVP recognises that community members enjoy walking, running and bike-riding in the area and have asked that any visitors undertake a visitor induction and apply for a Human Powered Pass.

Crews will plant a new crop of trees in the area in winter 2021. Mechanical site preparation and weed control will be completed prior to tree planting.

Plantation logs from the worksites will be shipped to HVP’s customers in Myrtleford, Wangaratta and Benalla, to be converted into sawn timber and other building and paper products.

For safety worksites will be closed (to vehicles and pedestrians) for the duration of the operations.
