Session highlights will include emerging sustainable technologies by Craig Curtis of Emerging Building Technologies in Seattle; global icon Amanda Sturgeon of Built by Nature on regenerative Zero carbon and biophilic buildings; and James Dibble on his 50-story world’s tallest hybrid timber building underway in Perth.

Presentations will include the collaborative process required for a typical timber building, engaging the developers, architects, engineers, builders, and suppliers of timber and mass wood to engage in discussion on important factors for successful outcomes.

Sessions on building design challenges and solutions will comprise expert panels to discuss a wide range of issues including certification requirements, cost plan analysis, design software programs, DFMA in design, on-site moisture management, installation program issues, and a review of practical solutions developed during building construction programs.

Case studies of two iconic timber buildings will be a major feature, with the key contributors outlining their roles including the developer, architect, engineer, builder, primary timber and mass wood suppliers. Projects include Murdoch University in Perth and Hine’s T3 Collingwood in Melbourne, both exceptional buildings that will provide valuable guidance to delegates.

The final session theme ‘Latest and greatest timber-based systems’ will explore emerging global trends and recent developments to provide a glimpse of the future.

The 2023 Timber Offsite Construction conference and exhibition will provide an unrivalled opportunity to learn from local and global leaders in their field, and to interact with the largest group of experts on timber offsite construction to be held in Australia.
