“ACACA aims to strengthen our relationship with our largest export market for agricultural, fisheries and forestry products, worth almost $13.6 billion in 2017–18,” Minister for Agriculture David Littleproud said.

Australia’s agriculture, food, fisheries and forestry exports to China have increased by 14.2% from $11.91 billion in FY2016–17 to $13.6 billion in FY2017–18.

“We are looking for projects which will encourage collaboration and growth in the Australia-China two-way trade, which will benefit farmers and food producers in both countries,” Minister Littleproud said.

“Over the past 30 years the program has been part of more than 200 technical exchanges, working groups, training programs and sharing research and development.

“The program also helps our farming, fishing and forestry industries unlock the new opportunities afforded through the China-Australia Free Trade Agreement (ChAFTA).

“It has been a key part of Australia’s bilateral trade relationship for more than three decades.”

Applications open 28 March 2019 and close on 30 April 2019. To apply for funding and for more information on the ACACA program, visit http://www.agriculture.gov.au/market-access-trade/acaca.
