Kevin Peachey, previously the Statistics and Economics Manager, recently moved into the role of Head of Built Environment Programs and WoodSolutions Program lead at FWPA.

FWPA’s Statistics and Economics Program was developed in 2013 in response to industry concerns regarding limitations and gaps in the economic information available for forest and wood products. Since then, the Program has grown to be a much relied upon source of information for industry and other stakeholders. As an example, the FWPA public data portal provides access to regularly updated domestic data and is publicly available to assist with planning and forecasting.

Before joining FWPA, Dr Hansnata was a Research Fellow at the National Centre for Social Economic Modelling and a Senior Economist at KPMG.

He holds a master’s degree in International and Development Economics from the ANU Crawford School of Public Policy and a PhD in Economics from the University of Canberra. Erick is also an active member of the Economic Society of Australia (ESA) as well as the American Economic Association (AEA).
