ForestWorks CEO resigns, interim CEO appointed

ForestWorks has appointed Angela Bell as interim CEO following the resignation of Chief Executive Officer Michael Borowick. Source: Timberbiz

Mr Borowick has led ForestWorks through the successful implementation of a number of projects of importance to members, industry and key stakeholders through a period of rapid change.

This included implementation of the $49M Worker Support Program for the Victorian hardwood sector and engaging with industry and sector partners to deliver the scoping report to the federal government for the $10M Forestry Workforce Training Program fund.

He also worked extensively with Skills Insight to consolidate our activities and programs.

The board of directors acknowledge and thanks Mr Borowick for his work and achievements during his time as CEO.

Ms Bell joins ForestWorks with extensive experience in the not-for-profit sector, including CEO of Ethical Clothing Australia from 2017 to 2021.

Since this time, she has established her own consultancy where she has offered her services as interim CEO in the not-for-profit sector.

The recruitment process for a permanent CEO will begin in mid-January.
