ForestrySA welcomes new Enterprise Agreement

ForestrySA has welcomed the news that its employees have voted in favour of the new Enterprise Agreement.

After a lengthy negotiation process, ForestrySA Executive General Manager Human Resources Peter Fuss said all parties were now pleased with the outcome.

Fuss said balance had played a significant role in development of the new Agreement.

“It is important to achieve a balance between continuous improvement in productivity and efficiency outcomes and the provision of fair and reasonable conditions for employees,” Fuss said.

”This Enterprise Agreement had achieved that outcome and will now be lodged with the Industrial Relations Commission of South Australia for approval.”

One of the features of ForestrySA’s proposed new Enterprise Agreement is a new integrated classification structure.

“Five outdated pay structures will be replaced with a single classification system that better reflects the work done and responsibilities of the full range of roles within ForestrySA,” Fuss said.

“It will provide greater flexibility and improved opportunity for the achievement and recognition of skills and career development.”

Fuss commended the efforts of all the members of the Enterprise Bargaining working group for their input and effort in achieving the successful result.
