The AFCA Contractors Hall of Fame has been created to acknowledge significant levels of service to the timber industry by harvesting and haulage contractors, and to record their contributions so as they are not forgotten.

Currently there are 115 Contractors whose names have been added to the members’ roll, and a further eight who have been elevated to ‘Industry Icon’ status as a result of contributions to the industry over and above the norm.

“We are really looking forward to adding these worthy recipients to our Hall of Fame,” said AFCA’s administration manager David Drane, who is organising the event.

“The East Gippsland region of Victoria has a magnificent history of timber production, and these gentlemen have all played a major role in it. It is really appropriate that they be acknowledged for it”
