Farm Forest Growers Victoria received funding from the Victorian Department of Primary Industries to prepare a Farm Forestry Industry Action Plan. The purpose of the Plan is to assist farm forestry in Victoria to be vigorous, viable, independent and self-reliant.
FFGV recognises that the Plan needs to be developed with, and owned by the whole farm forestry sector.
The seminar will include an outline of project brief; process for the Stakeholder Forum; initial stakeholder feedback; group discussions on emerging themes; presentations of group findings; themes for discussion and resolution; and ongoing stakeholder involvement to contribute to the draft plan.
The schedule following the seminar will involve a five-stage plan:
1. Circulate feedback and provide online access to all stakeholder feedback and plan developments
2. Draft Plan circulated – end of January 2013
3. Stakeholder feedback prior to the 2nd Stakeholder Forum
4. 2nd Stakeholder Forum to present draft Plan – mid-February 2013
5. Final Plan – end of March 2013
