The research from the Universities of Auckland, Sydney, Canterbury and Technology, has resulted in a range of world leading new timber technologies suitable for large span commercial, industrial and residential buildings.
Called EXPAN, this is a range of world-class new timber technologies for large-span commercial, industrial and residential buildings including post-stressed beam and frame systems, large-span floors, roof systems and new timber connectors.
An all day workshop will introduce comprehensive guides on each new timber technology followed by a detailed worked example.
The workshop will include large span floor systems, timber concrete composites, timber cassette floors, discussions on acoustics, vibration and fire resistance, post-tensioned timber frames and beams, long span roof systems and timber connectors.
The event is $150 per person and includes lunch. The dates are Brisbane June 5, Sydney June 6 and Melbourne June 7.
