AFCA call for board members

Nominations are open to join the board of the Australian Forest Contractors Association (AFCA), the association is keen to increase participation on the board with members from Western Australia, South Australia and Tasmania, especially those with experience in native forestry. Source: Timberbiz

Board members are required to attend bi-monthly meetings either in person or on Zoom.

Board members are to be:

  • Involved in providing harvest, haul, roading, or silviculture services in Australia.
  • Attend and actively participate in board meetings.
  • Contribute to bi-monthly board meetings by pre- reading meeting documents and providing high- level strategic input to the direction of AFCA. Willing to represent AFCA on appropriate Industry Reference Groups (IRG).
  • Represent the interests of forest contracting businesses and improve how they are regarded by the rest of the value chain.
  • Direct influence on projects designed to improve the long-term business outcomes for forest contracting businesses.

Following the recent resignation of Stacey Gardiner AFCA is also to appoint a new general manager to lead the association.
