Outlook 2023 will be held on 7-8 March at the National Convention Centre in Canberra, with this year’s theme ‘global uncertainty, local challenges’.

ABARES Executive Director Dr Jared Greenville said Outlook 2023 was a must-attend event for anyone with an interest in the future of our agricultural sector.

“Outlook provides expert insight for our producers, industry and government partners as they navigate these uncertain times and all the challenges and opportunities that come with it,” Dr Greenville said.

“We’ll have speakers from organisations including Innovate UK, CSIRO, National Farmers Federation, Ash Global Insights, Canon Institute for Global Studies, Farmers for Climate Action, Consolidated Pastoral Company, KPMG, Australian Food & Grocery Council, Commonwealth Bank, Austrade, Animal Health Australia, Teys Australia, MLA, Victorian Farmers Federation, Australian Export Grains Innovation Centre, Australian Seaweed Institute, the AWU as well as producers from around Australia.

“Discussions will delve into the impact of international and domestic emissions policy over the long term while ensuring agriculture remains competitive and sustainable.

“The conference will consider how producers have responded to previous labour shortages and what improved access to workers means going forward.

The conference, which is held over two days, will feature more than 60 leading national and international speakers at 13 sessions focussing on what is on the horizon for the sector.

Registration for the conference is open.
