Saturday will be a day of events that will have something for everyone with the gates opening at 9am.

Throughout the day there will be wood chopping, a truck show, a vintage car and motorcycle show, dog jumps, the Tim Coleman stunt show, a vintage engine display, food trucks, a petting zoo, carnival rides and entertainment, a wood working display, a forestry virtual reality simulator, historical draught horses, a photo display, country market and much more.

Live music will be heard from midday until 11pm from groups such as the Ryan Shore Band, Jackie Elliot, The Jimmy’s, and Yesteryear & Dadbod.

Refreshments include Devonshire tea, but there are also food trucks and a bar tent.

From 3.30pm to 5.30pm there’s a tug-o-war and a sausage eating contest, then the event continues until 11.30pm.

On Sunday there is a street parade through Heyfield ending at the timber workers memorial for a vigil to pay respect to those who lost their lives working, on the job, in the timber industry.
