Attack on machinery could have had dire consequences

Forestry protesters are believed responsible for “an act of sabotage” on two excavators in the East Gippsland area that resulted in thousands of dollars worth of damage and the realisation that someone could have been killed.

The contractor at the centre of the attack, the Victorian Forest Contractors Association and several other contractors have said that “protesters had now crossed the line”.
