A million tonnes expected by Forest Enterprises

Forest Enterprises in New Zealand expects to harvest a million tonnes from the forest estate it manages in Hawkes Bay. Source: Timberbiz

Forest Enterprises manages 1289 hectares of radiata pine forest in Hawkes Bay region (four forestry investments), representing approximately 7% of the total estate under management.

These are the youngest forest investments and their harvest is a few years away from commencement.

Around 90% of these Hawkes Bay forests were established in 1996 and will therefore be ready for harvest around 2024 at age 28.
