An invitation has been extended to a wide range of women involved in the forest, timber (including haulage), and wood processing industry to attend its second regional meeting.

Men with an interest in women’s challenges and achievement within the industry are also welcome to attend.

Billed as a tapas night, the function will be held at Nest, 56 Winton Street, Tumbarumba, from 5.30pm- 8.30pm. The cost is $15 for tapas but those who do not want to join us the dinner may still attend.

Guest speaker for the evening will be Kay Whitehead, Tumbarumba Shire general manager. Her story revolves around how she moved from receptionist to general manager.

There will also be a brief update on other WFTN activities around Australia and a round the table discussion on a topical item.

The Women in Forests and Timber Network is a national forum for women in the industry to meet, network, exchange ideas and ensure their voices are heard.

More information is at www.forestworks.com.au/womensnetwork or to attend RSVP by February 5 to Theresa (0429729765) or Adele (0429495554) for catering.
