Livingstone Shire Council in Queensland is warning motorists in the area there will be an increased frequency of heavy haulage vehicles carting timber and road gravel across the Waterpark Ck floodway and on Waterpark Rd to Byfield Rd for an extended period of time.

In excess of 40 B-Double trucks will be hauling timber to the Gladstone Port on a 24 hours per day basis during weekdays.

In addition, numerous semi-tippers and truck and dog trailers are being used to cart gravel for timber haul roads.
