Taking a bite out of waste

The Timber Development Association and the Environment Protection Authority are holding a series of free seminars to assist companies recycle more waste timber in New South Wales. Source: Timberbiz

The details will be spelled out at free breakfast meetings.

The agenda for the seminars is:
• Regulatory framework and waste generator responsibilities.
• Recycling opportunities and financial savings compared to landfill disposal.
• Quality requirements and carbon benefits of recycling

Speakers will represent the NSW Environment Protection Authority, Australian Native Landscapes (Rob Niccol), Direct Pallets & Recycling (Rob James), Soilco (Charlie Emery) and the Timber Development Association (Stephen Mitchell).

If your business generates large volumes of waste timber pallets, packaging and/or offcuts and there is concern about the implications of rising waste disposal costs then the seminars are ideal.

The seminars have been designed to help identify real opportunities to recycle waste timber, understand regulatory parameters and increase motivation to recycle.
