The Australian Standard for Chain of custody of forest products (AS4707), which underpins the traceability of wood from well-managed forests into the wood and paper products we use every day, is being reviewed.

This Australian Standard along with the Australian Standard for Sustainable forest management (AS4708) was developed by Australian Forestry Standard Limited (AFS Ltd) and is a key component of the Australian Forest Certification Scheme (AFCS).

The draft revised Standard was prepared by a Standard Reference Committee (SRC4707) comprised of experts and representatives from a broad range of stakeholders.

The draft revised standard and a submission form are available from the AFS Ltd website.
