Apparently 11 related organizations – The Australian Forests and Climate Alliance, the Wilderness Society Victoria, Markets for Change, Friends of the Earth Melbourne, My Environment, Environment East Gippsland, the Huon Valley Environment Centre, Friends of Leadbeater’s Possum, Climate Active Australia, South East Region Conservation Alliance and the Healesville Environment Watch had to join forces to garner the small group.

The group was peaceful and stood on the footpath outside the hotel during morning peak hour asking drivers to toot for support. Two protestors were dressed as furry animals.

The group was asking people to get serious about forest protection, saying that logging equals climate change and indicating that forestry work was leading to animals being hurt and burnt.

By around 10am the group had dispersed.
