“As our capacity, resourcing and governance increases to meet the growing market demand, a 3-year business plan was developed in 2020 with education a key pillar in APHA’s strategy,” APHA CEO Paul Wall said.

“We are uniquely positioned to build capacity in the right way, ensuring that professionals are ready to contribute strongly, upholding our industry values and high-quality standards.”

The application of Passive House (aka passivhaus in German) Certification in Australia is growing. In addition to single residential dwellings, we are now seeing Passive House Certification being sought in larger buildings and expect this trend to grow.

Passive House Certification is a well-established design and construction method that delivers high quality, comfortable, healthy, low energy, and resilient buildings. It can be applied in all climate zones and all building types.
