The Forest Education Foundation recently launched a new website that integrates its online presence with the educational experience on offer at the National Forest Learning Centre. Source: Timberbiz
The website is now a ‘one stop shop’ for teachers looking to get involved with one of the FEF’s interactive activities, with information about how its programs link to the new Australian Curriculum, in-field and in-classroom experiences, and sample learning programs.
The new website:
Provides teachers with information linking class visit, field trip programs and supporting resources with the new Australian Curriculum (currently Science, with Technologies and Geography as they become available)
Provides teachers with an overview of all FEF programs for year groups from lower primary to senior secondary
Provides supporting information on a range of topics
Provides sample programs for class visit to the NFLC and field trips, covering a range of year groups
News and events section to promote / showcase student learning activities and upcoming events
Links to other useful sites to support the delivery of education programs
It’s also a great resource for anyone just wanting more information about how our forests are managed – and how our wood products are used.
