New CEO wanted for VAFI

The VAFI is a leading industry organisation for the forest and wood products businesses in Victoria.

It represents forest growers, harvest and haul businesses, wood and paper processors and associated businesses and organisations.

As chief executive of VAFI you will manage a small but professional team that develops and recommends to the board strategies for dealing with a wide range of complex issues facing the industry.

You will be expected to develop strong relationships with Government, the public sector and other key stakeholders, and to represent VAFI in a range of public forums including the media.

You will also be required to work closely with members and counterpart organisations.

Your overall objective will be to advance and protect the interests of the Association and its members.

This role is a maternity leave position (14 month term or longer – negotiable) with the opportunity to build your executive experience and networks.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have executive skills with an understanding of government, strong communication, advocacy, policy and relationship management skills.
