Neville Smith to expand operations with 30 new roles

Just two years shy of its 100-year business milestone, Tasmania’s Neville Smith Forest Products is looking to expand its already sizeable workforce with around 30 new roles now on offer across its three sites. Source: Timberbiz

Chief Executive, Andrew Walker said these roles, which range from apprentice and trainee positions right through to high-level data analyst and people and culture specialisations, will see NSFP move into its next phase.

“Due to demand for sustainably harvested regrowth and plantation hardwood we are now in a period of significant growth and our focus at a high level is on structuring the business for the next three to five years,” Mr Walker said.

Across its Mowbray, Oakdale and Southwood sites, NSFP employs around 150 people, a number it hopes to grow now by 20%.

“We provide an inclusive and supportive work environment and value each of our employees very highly. We look forward to hearing from anyone who is motivated, suitably skilled and keen to join our Tasmanian team.”
