National Carpenters Day

On April 21 2009, Australia’s first ever Carpenters Day will be held in most capital cities aroud the country. It will be a day to celebrate the way sin which carpenters play an important part in tackling climate change, by using one of the planet’s most natural materials – wood.

On National Carpenters Day, apprentices and carpenters nationwide are invited to attend free events in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Tasmania. From 4pm – 6pm, every apprentice or carpenter that attends will receive a free barbecue, professional massage from a Three Minute Angel and can also win a $2,500 Hitachi Power Tools Mega Pack.

TV personality and carpenter by trade, Tom Williams, is the event’s celebrity ambassador.
