SAPPHIRE will be released in 2013 but will tested heavily in Australia in late 2012 now the company has gone one step further by having a special app designed to work in conjunction with the program and it can be used onsite.
With the MiTek Sapphire Mobile Viewer available from the Apple App Store as a free download you can receive 3D MiTek Sapphire models via email and view them on either an iPhone or an iPad. An iPad is preferable as it provides a much larger viewing screen than an iPhone.
With this a builder, architect, specifier or designer can take the iPad onsite and review the work in a 3D view as he or she walks the site. The app allows for someone to walk through doorways and into rooms while inspecting the building structure.
You can control what you see with visibility switches and even take a virtual tour of your model. If you find a problem you can take a photo and email it or just print a comparison of the model to actual field framed conditions with a compatible printer.
