Institute seeking new chief executive officer

THE INSTITUTE of Foresters of Australia (IFA) is advertising for a new chief executive officer to replace Cassandra Spencer who is leaving to further her career in a different field.
Cassandra has been with the IFA for the past seven years, the last two and a half as CEO.
The Institute is a professional body with more than 1200 members, whose mission is to provide leadership to the forestry profession and advice to the community on forestry issues.
Cassandra noted that while she may be heading off to new horizons, the Institute would also continue to thrive and grow under new direction.
“In general change can be a scary proposition when a company is performing well, however, this is a great opportunity for another strong administrator to integrate fresh ideas into the existing models,” said Cassandra.
The chief executive officer reports to the Board, acts as Company Secretary and manages the Institute’s national office in Canberra to deliver a wide range of membership services.
