Company sales professional, Peter Schiller said buyer trends for new builds are changing and like all industries, businesses have to focus their teams to deliver the right customer solutions.

“There is an increasing focus on sustainability and efficiency.

“This is something we have to deliver on, and being listed as the fastest growing builder in Queensland demonstrates that we’re getting it right,” Mr Schiller said.

Local retailer, Sunshine Mitre 10 is supplying orders of treated timber for their frames. The timber is all locally and sustainably grown before being processed by Hyne Timber in Maryborough – a carbon neutral process.

Hyne Timber’s T2 Blue termite resistant framing is the preferred timber for all Devcon projects due to the guaranteed treatment quality.

“When people inspect a home or a house plan, they make decisions based on practicality and aesthetics.” Mr Schiller said. “It’s up to us as the builder to not only get that right, but to add further value with a structure that will stand the test of time.

“Hyne Timber is sustainably grown, locally and most importantly, the termite treatment offers guaranteed protection without the need for ongoing inspections.

“Imagine buying a brand new home only to find out the frame isn’t protected? There’s no insurance for that.”

Devcon was established in 1993. They have recently secured a number of major developments close to the Sunshine Coast University and new Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Hyne Timber has been operating since 1882 and distributes T2 Blue framing throughout the Eastern seaboard, south of the Tropic of Capricorn (Rockhampton).

It comes with a fully transferrable, 25-year termite guarantee, is safe to handle and work with and is independently CodeMark certified.

Hyne Timber Customer Manager, Peter Tregaskis said: “The treatment is organic and designed to mimic the naturally occurring termite resistant properties of some plant species. It uses ingredients similar to those found in pet flea collars and head lice shampoo.

“There are no annual inspections required for T2 Blue house frames. Set and forget.”
