The Gottstein Trust is offering a Forest Science Course in February 2015 that encompasses the topics covered in forestry degree.

This “taste of forestry” provides anybody working in the industry with an understanding of methods and logic behind forest planning and is designed specifically for those who do not have a formal forestry background.

While covering topics from “the importance of forestry worldwide” to “how to measure a tree” the course is presented in an informative and interactive way with discussion encouraged between the presenters and participants.

Leading Australian authorities on each subject have been appointed to present their topic and do so with great enthusiasm.

The Gottstein Trust also runs a Wood Science Course in alternate years to the Forest Science Course.

The Gottstein Trust was established in 1971 to promote the development of the forest products industry through the pursuit of excellence in people, processes and products.

A board of eight trustees, who are industry leaders, oversees the Trust and it is funded by industry contributions that support the development of outstanding individuals in the industry.
