FWPA industry engagement moves forward

Forest and Wood Products Australia (FWPA) has established a two-tiered structure for industry engagement and held a kick-off meeting in June. Source: Timberbiz

  1. Industry Advisory Groups (IAGs) – Five groups that align to FWPA’s outcome-driven programs and membership are open to all FWPA voting members (with multiple participation from members) with focus on priority setting and resource allocation.
  2. Interest Groups (IGs) – Interest groups will be established on a topic that has the support/participation of at least five voting members.

Interest groups may be based around a specific topic, region, product or species with the focus on improving collaboration and developing investment proposals.

Participation is open to all stakeholders. FWPA will provide secretariat support for interest groups and an online community to assist with communication.

To be successful, the interest groups need active participation from stakeholders, and so the FWPA needs those interested to sign up for established groups or to identify new interest groups.
