ForestWorks CEO Michael Hartman welcomed the Coalition’s election and believes the new Government will be an excellent friend to forestry.

Hartman says he would like to see work on an industry-led training and skills development system.

He said the Green Triangle should greatly benefit.

“Any forest and plantation friendly policy that the Coalition is able to develop and implement will have a large impact on this part of Australia and so we’re looking forward to what the Coalition intends to roll out on the forestry industry,” he said.

“I think the genuinely positive approach they have to the industry will have its largest impact in the areas where our industry is strongest.”
