Feedback to Responsible Wood on branding change

Responsible Wood is looking for feedback with the release of a new survey marking an important milestone for Responsible Wood. From 1 January 2020, all certificate holders certified under the Responsible Wood scheme have mitigated to the Responsible Wood branding; with the Responsible Wood logo to be used for new stock from this date. The branding change is especially relevant to the ‘Chain of Custody’ certificate holders that carry Responsible Wood certification through the timber and paper supply chains.

For Responsible Wood Marketing and Communications Officer, Jason Ross, the survey is an important step as Responsible Wood seeks to raise awareness and understanding of forest certification in the Australian marketplace.

“Responsible Wood is committed to raise awareness and understanding of the power of forest certification for good. Responsible Wood certified companies meet the requirements of AS 4708 and AS 4707, the Australian Standards for Sustainable Forest Management and Chain of Custody for Forest Products.

“With a focus on the supply chain, we especially want to monitor the use of the logo by Chain of Custody certificate holders on product,” Mr Ross said.

The survey takes 4-5 minutes to complete with all information kept in the strictest of confidence.

The survey should be shared with those who manage sales and marketing.

“The connection with sales and marketing is critical, it is those that work in sales and marketing that have an understanding of what consumers wants, need and their perception of forest certification,” Mr Ross said.
