Around 30 people are expected to be tested for COVID-19.

General manager Robin Reid said the decision was made after a contractor visited Adelaide, where he had drinks with a person who had been in contact with another person who may have COVID-19.

“One of the workers for one of our contractors up the back of the mill came in this morning and said he was with a guy on the weekend who knows a guy who may have it,” Mr Reid said on Tuesday.

“We sent him straight home to get tested and then we made the decision straightaway to shut that section of the mill down and send all those people that he works with off get tested.

“We have gone through and sterilised everything just in the off chance that there is a problem.”

Mr Reid said that section of the mill will remain closed until all employees tested return negative results for the virus.
