It’s almost AUSTimber time and organisers are gearing up for a big event.
Since the announcement two weeks ago of the guest speaker Michael Milton, the AUSTImber 2012 Welcome Function dinner has sold all 500 allocated tickets. Another 150 tickets have been released due to the demand and organisers expect these will be gone very soon and the event will be at capacity and completely sold out. Accommodation in Mount Gambier is just about full but more accommodation options in the region, a mere half hour drive from the site, are available.
Organisers are encouraging all attending not to leave their accommodation requirements to the last minute.

Austimber organisers are also calling for more donations for the charity auction that is part of the Welcome Function. There’s been some great donations so far such as skiing for four people with Michael Milton, air flights and cruise on a 40ft yacht in Hobart donated by , Elphinstone Weighing Systems and Logging Trailers
Organisers will promote donors businesses at the Charity Auction, on the AUSTimber website and in local media features on AUSTimber.
