Timberbiz was initially suspicious because the survey invitation was not credited to any particular organization and the email address was a gmail account.
However, after investigation it was discovered that the survey is legitimate and is being conducted by an association tied to the forest and wood sector in Australia.
The invitation says that it is is anticipated that this will be an ongoing survey to track trends over time and intended explore the key opportunities and challenges, and assess how the sector and some its key organisations are performing.
Participation is encouraged from all parts of the sector

Apparently the survey is being undertaken on an anonymous basis to avoid any survey bias.
