AFCA Hall of Fame nominations open

Nominations have opened for the Australian Forest Contractors Association Hall of Fame. The AFCA has a tradition of recognising and celebrating the important contribution those in our industry have made over a long period of time. Source: Timberbiz

The AFCA HOF has three award categories:

  1. Industry Icon – A Hall of Fame Life Member can be elevated up to Industry Icon level if it can be demonstrated with clear examples that they have made a significant contribution to the forest industry and have been recognized as a leader in ingenuity and improvement. Industry Icon acknowledges additional outstanding contributions and achievements of individuals. The primary nominator must be a Hall of Fame member, there must also be a second nominator. They may have retired from industry.
  2. Hall of Fame – To be nominated for admittance to the Hall of Fame Life Members Roll, Harvesting and/or Haulage Contractors must have been working in the industry for at least 25 years as a principal/director. There must be at least two clear examples of their contribution to industry and there must be a nominator and a seconder.
  3. Recognition of service to industry – A Service to Industry nomination is awarded to those who have worked within industry for at least 20 years, have supported Forestry Contracting Businesses and have contributed to the ongoing success and progress of the industry. There must be at least two clear examples of their contribution to industry and must be a nominator and a seconder.
