The ARLP is a 15-month leadership development program that takes place over five sessions, across Australia and Indonesia. More than 30 scholarships are available for individuals from a range of different industries and communities from across rural, regional and remote Australia.

“This is a life-changing opportunity for people working in regional Australia. I was privileged to complete the program in 2001 and it had a powerful impact on my perspectives, networks and career,” Mr Linnegar said.

The Foundation’s generous partners provide a $55,000 scholarship for participants to undertake the program. They will be immersed in a series of unique experiences to develop their abilities as leaders.

“People working in primary industries, agribusiness, the arts, policy and advocacy, health, economic development and the environment sector are encouraged to apply,” Mr Linnegar said.

“I have noticed that a vast number of regional leaders are modest, they don’t necessarily see themselves as leaders. This year we are calling on people to tap a leader in their community on the shoulder and encourage them to apply.”

The ARLP has been developing stronger leadership within the communities and industries of rural, regional and remote Australia for more than 26 years. Graduates of the ARLP continue to influence change and have positive impact in regional Australia.

The program will run from July 2019 to October 2020. Applications for ARLP Course 26 will close on 30 September 2018. For more information or to apply, visit www.rural-leaders.org.au
